Raptor Meat Studios Blog Cover

Thanks for being a part of our community! We’re excited to get to know you and share in great conversations together. To make sure everyone has a great time here, we’ve put together some guidelines for everyone to follow.

These community rules apply to our entire site network (raptormeat.com, the forum, the wiki’s, the shop, each game’s website, etc) as well as our Discord and anywhere else our community gathers.

Summary of Rules

  • Be Kind: Treat others with kindness and respect. Avoid personal attacks.
  • Keep It Friendly: Keep discussions positive and constructive. No trolling or rude behavior.
  • Stay On Topic: Keep conversations relevant to the topic. No spamming or off-topic posts.
  • Self-Promotion: Only promote in the specified category for promoting yourself. No general advertising.
  • Respect Privacy: Protect your privacy and the privacy of others. Don’t share personal information without permission.
  • No NSFW: Do not post or share gore, graphic violence, pornographic or sexually suggestive images or content. Period.

Detailed Guidelines

  • Be Kind and Respectful:
    • Treat others the way you want to be treated.
    • Personal attacks weaken your opinion, avoid them.
    • If you disagree with someone that’s fine, but do so respectfully.
  • Keep It Friendly:
    • Keep discussions friendly and positive.
    • If you have an ongoing disagreement with a user, try to resolve it calmly and privately one-on-one. Or block them.
    • Avoid sarcasm, insults, or inflammatory comments.
  • Stay On Topic:
    • Post in the right category, thread, or (for wiki’s) on the right page.
    • Avoid derailing conversations with unrelated topics or adding off topic noise.
    • Start a new thread/wiki page for new topics instead of changing the subject in an existing thread/wiki page.
  • No Self-Promotion:
    • Promoting your own products, services, or websites outside of the clearly designated areas isn’t allowed.
    • If you want to share something, make sure it’s relevant and adds value to the conversation.
    • Contact the moderators if you’re unsure whether something is appropriate to post.
  • Respect Privacy:
    • Don’t share personal information about yourself or others.
    • Respect the privacy of another’s personal messages and information they share with you.
    • If you’re not sure whether you should share something, just ask first.
  • No NSFW:
    • Do not post or share any content that is graphically violent or gory in nature.
    • Do not post or share any content that is pornographic, sexually explicit, or adult in nature.
    • This includes images, videos, text, or links to such content.

Consequences of Violating Guidelines

Breaking these guidelines may result in a friendly reminder, removal of your posts/wiki edits, or temporary/permanent suspension from our entire site network. If your account is suspended it could also result in the loss of your profiles and ability to edit them, and the forfeiture and/or deletion of any content you have posted throughout our site network or social communities.

Additions/Exceptions To These Rules

Our goal is to keep this community safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone. We try to operate an open community with minimum rules, but to do what’s best for the community we may need to add or remove rules sometimes. We encourage you to check here for changes, and we’ll also post any changes to the main forum or the social community it may apply to.

Except for posts that break the law, we do not have a zero tolerance policy as it seems to do more harm than good. We decide what constitutes a rule break on a case by case basis based on the severity of the rule break, actual intent of the poster, and what’s best for the community as a whole.

Our social communities like Discord, Twitch, or Reddit may have their own specific rules, so please take a moment to read those before participating.

Also, we have some legal papers if you need them.

Reporting Rulebreakers

An open community is best when it regulates itself. If you need to report something here’s how (only chose one, don’t spam reports):

  • Forum:
    • Use the built in report functions to report each post/thread. A moderator checks them often.
    • Tag a moderator in the post.
    • Send the moderator a message with a link to the post.
  • Wiki:
    • Our wiki’s are public and community moderated, you have the power to shape the community.
    • Edit and roll back revisions as you see fit.
    • Report repeat vandals and spammers so an admin can lock/ban their account.
  • Discord:
    • Reply to the rule breaking post with a tag to the moderator (@mod, ect).
    • Don’t @everyone it.
  • Other:
    • Please abide by the reporting rules of that specific community. They should be posted and easily accessible.
    • If all else fails open a Support Ticket. Also, that’s the best way to report something on the site, a game’s site, or the shop.
